Trial & Tivoli is a response to the problematic in the new sustainable Tivoli neighbourhood. As sustainability is the prime objective of the neighbourhood, we saw an opportunity to go further than technical sustainability and also incorporate sustainability on a social level. A high rate in Brussels is not only found in the abandoned buildings but also in these new neighbourhoods qualitative spaces remain unused. Our objective was to (re)activate the entire neighbourhood through a masterplan with the CLTB-lot as the catalyst. The search for a balance between private and public is mainly found through the position of the inhabitant.
